Victory Medals - German Bettlertaler or "Beggar Thaler"
£25.99
The use of replica coins as victory medals add a certain je ne sais quoi to a game of TtS!
This is a Bettlertaler or "Beggar Thaler", so named because it features an equestrian image of Saint Martin with the beggar on one side. For this reason, it is also sometimes called the Martinstaler. It dates from around 1525, so is perfect for the landsknecht era, especially the German peasants revolt.
These hefty silver-plated pewter coins are amongst the largest I make, being approximately 39mm in diameter. They are sold in packs of 14.
